Options:
{This term lends itself nicely to study abroad or study away.}
PHYS 340 – Classical Dynamics
PHYS 360 – Thermal Physics
PHYS 380 – Semiconductors & Magnetism
Additional notes:
- CHEM 110 and 120 are recommended.
- COMP 101, 104 and 150 are recommended.
- Students whose math placement is the two-course Calculus with Review sequence MATH 110 + MATH 111 should take MATH 110 in the first-year fall, MATH 111 and PHYS 150 in first-year winter, and MATH 113 and PHYS 152 in first-year spring.
- The preferred order is to take MATH 214 before 240.
- Whenever possible, students should continue with the language they learned in high school.
- A sophomore seminar is needed (choosing one in the humanities or social sciences will assist with transfer requirements). Students should complete at least one social science course (usually ECON 101) and two humanities courses.
